Employees who are off sick are entitled to statutory sick pay after the first three days of sickness in any eight-week period (unless their contract provides for enhanced company sick pay). With effect from the 6 April 2021, the rate increases to £96.35 per week.
With effect from the 4 April 2021, the rate for statutory maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and parental bereavement leaves increases to £151.97 per week.
Make sure that any documents or policies which refer to these rates are updated.
If you already have employees on any of these leaves, it is your responsibility to ensure that the increased rates are paid.
