Bank holiday changed to mark 75th anniversary of VE Day

The government has announced that the bank holiday set for Monday 4 May 2020, will be switched to Friday 8 May 2020, to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

It is only the second time the early May bank holiday has been moved - the first was in 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary of VE Day.

However, not everyone is happy with the change. One calendar maker has said it will cost them about £200,000 to re-print 400,000 of its calendars which have already been printed. While they do not object to the reason for the change, they have criticised the government for not giving more notice.

If your business is going to be affected by the change, let us know.
