The South East Region Employment Tribunal User Group reported in April 2018, that 4,800 applications for fee refunds had been received nationally, resulting in over £2 million of payouts.
As a large number of potentially eligible people have apparently failed to apply since the refund scheme was rolled out in full on the 15 November 2017, the Ministry of Justice is writing to affected people in order to raise awareness.
