High Court grants injunction requiring drivers to operate longer trains

The High Court has granted an interim injunction requiring drivers – and members of the ASLEF trade union – to drive new 12-carriage trains being introduced by GTR Ltd to replace its ten-carriage trains.

In doing so, it holds that by informing its members that there was no agreement for drivers to operate the new trains, there was a ‘good arguable case’ that ASLEF had induced them to breach their contracts.
