Morrisons ordered to pay £60,000 for discriminating against employee returning from maternity leave.

The employee worked as a part-time buyer for the supermarket chain.

When she returned from her second maternity leave she argued that she was expected to be responsible for the duties of a full-time role. She lodged a grievance about the new arrangement and was told “to prioritise things a bit better” and improve her mindset.

Morrisons were ordered to pay £60,000 in damages for discriminating against her for dramatically changing her role on return from maternity leave.
