Morrisons join other retailers in cutting sick pay for unvaccinated employees

Morrisons have followed other retailers, including Next, Ocado and Ikea, in cutting sick pay for unvaccinated employees who have to self-isolate after being exposed to Covid (including notifications from NHS Test and Trace). Those who have to self-isolate but text negative, will now only get statutory sick pay of £96.35 a week, the legal minimum.

However, those who test positive will still be entitled to full sick pay while they isolate, regardless of vaccination status.

The change comes as more staff are reporting absent.
