Another example of being fined for taking personal data

 Following several cases earlier this year, a charity worker  has been ordered to pay £1,860.25 after pleading guilty for sending information relating to clients of his employer, to his personal email account.  The investigation revealed he had also sent information the year before.


He avoided prison but was given a conditional discharge for two years.


Head of Enforcement at the Information Commissioner's Office, Steve Eckersley, stated: "People whose jobs give them access to this type of information need to realise that just because they can access it, that doesn’t mean they should".
